We have decided, here at James and Alex Dance Studios, that it is only fair our students get to know a little more about each of our lovely, talented staff members.

We have given each of them a short questionnaire, so that they can share with you guys their dance backgrounds, experience, advice and what inspires them. Oh, and they included photos too!

So, let’s not waste anymore time, let us introduce you to this week’s featured member of staff…

Martin Rycroft

Martin has been teaching Ballroom, Latin and wedding dances at our studios for almost two years now. He is from the UK and started dancing at the age of 5. Ever since he started dance classes, Martin knew that he wanted a career in dance. He completed his training in London with some of the top Latin and Ballroom coaches and has since then had a very successful career. He is still performing, alongside teaching dance, here in Dubai.

Other countries he has performed and competed in include: UK, Cyprus, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Russia and USA.

When asked about what his favourite part about teaching was, Martin said he loves seeing the visible improvement of each student. He especially loves seeing the wedding videos of his wedding dance couples on their big day 🙂

Although Martin mainly teaches Ballroom and Latin style, he enjoys watching and performing a variety of styles of dance. He loves to choreograph cabaret style dances and of course, Ballroom and Latin.
