Contemporary Performance Course Starts Sunday 16th April 2017

Looking for a challenge? Join us and perform at our annual student showcase on 19th May 2017? We’ll be running a special performance course in Contemporary Dance starting on Sunday 16th April.

Pre-registration is required and students must sign up for the full course. Students will have the opportunity to perform in our studio showcase on Friday 19th May.

Contemporary Dance – 6 weeks, once a week (14 hrs total) Instructor: Carmel Bondswell.

Sundays 8 – 10pm. Starts April 16th. Cost: AED 795

*** For anyone wishing to take our Hip Hop performance course starting Saturday 15th May you can pay AED 1195 for both courses.

Salsa Performance Course 2017

We are launching a brand new Salsa Performance Course, starting Saturday March 4th, for 8 weeks, from 6pm to 8pm. The course is designed for Intermediate or Advanced salsa students.

During the course, you will learn a brand new choreography taught by James and Alex, which you will get to perform at the Fujairah Latin Festival (4th to 6th May 2017).

Rehearsals will start on Saturday 4th March 2016 at 6pm and will run every week for two hours, for 8 weeks until April 22nd. We will also have a few rehearsals between this date and the festival, to get everyone who wishes to perform at the festival ready, as well as an opportunity to perform at our weekly social.

The cost of the performance course is AED 995*. This will include the performance course, additional rehearsals and an evening festival pass for the night you are performing on. If you wish to buy a full pass for the festival instead, the total cost of the course + pass will be AED 1,295*.

*Please note that this cost does not include costume costs.

New Karate Kids Classes

Karate, kickboxing and martial arts based training not only offers a fantastic way to get fit and stay in shape, but also provides the opportunity to learn valuable self-defence techniques, as well as the means to overcome many fears and challenges whatever your age.

Dubai based professional MMA fighter and former international karate gold medalist Rafat Shawe, one of the fantastic martial arts talent to be based in the Middle East opens up his latest classes this coming January – with options for both adults and kids.

Rafat launches new classes at conveniently located James & Alex Dance Studios in Dubai Media City. The classes are scheduled as follows:

  • Kids Karate – Monday 5.00pm (1 hour) – for kids age 5-12 years
  • Kids Karate – Thursday 5.00 pm (1 hour) – for kids age 5-12 years

The kids karate classes cater to kids aged 5 to 12 and the classes are split into several age groups and play to the strength of each child, ensuring that all their needs are met.  The kids term starts on Monday 23rd January and term fees start from AED 1680.
